Take a JtE Intensive Weekend separately or both JtE-1 and JtE-2 consecutively.
JtE-1 must be completed before JtE-2 enrollment
Each course is 20 hours

Welcome to our international and out-of-state guests! Although tours and site-seeing are not included nor directed by JtE, entertainment and touristic destinations in this area are abundant: beaches, desert, Wild Animal Park, Disneyland, Sea World ... just ask your travel agent!

JtE-1 introduces the students to the wide variety of dance styles in Egypt; an overview of movement, costume, historical diffusion & geographical location.

August 1 - Saturday full day & evening 10am-9:30pm
1 hour lunch break, day classes 10am - 6pm, dinner served in studio 7pm,
7:30-9:30pm Zar class and experiential

August 2 - Sunday day 10am-6pm
1 hour lunch break. 5:45-6pm Class photos and Certificates

JtE-2 continues the investigation of the dances of Egypt, encourages student specialization, notes differences between home style, local entertainers, regional government troupes and Cairo-based National Troupes.
